My laptop's harddisk has scattered unfinished short stories, snatches of poetry, and 7000 words of a novel I abandoned because in a moment of clarity I realised it was not really a novel, but events in from my life with people's names changed, duh. One day I'll have a big old house with a library with a ladder, but for now it's just one bookshelf and a library card.
I see my journal as predominantly a place to chat with people (as opposed to sharing my deepest darkest secrets). I love meeting new people, so please feel free to friend me or comment if you get the inclination - I don't automatically friend people back (although often I do), especially if you post lots of memes. However, I'm likely to occasionally flick over to the journals of people who have me friended to see what's up anyway. I'm using friends-lock increasingly these days when talking about remotely personal stuff, because I am unjustifiably paranoid about people I know finding out the terribly unspectacular details of my life. All in all, I'm a fairly irregular poster, although I do try to comment on my friends journals as much as I can.
